Nutrition label serving calculator

Scale nutrition label values from the label serving amount to the amount actually eaten.

Calculator input

Use the same unit for the label serving and amount eaten. Nutrient units stay separate and are never added together.

GUIDE

Reference notes

01

Copy values from one label serving

Enter each nutrient as a name with its unit and the value printed for one label serving. Then enter the label serving amount and the amount actually eaten using the same unit.

02

How serving scaling works

The calculator divides the amount eaten by the label serving amount. It multiplies every nutrient by that ratio and divides by the number of people sharing the food.

03

Read each nutrient in its own unit

Calories, grams, and milligrams cannot be combined into one meaningful total. The calculator keeps each row separate and preserves the unit written in the nutrient name.

04

Check the scaling ratio

Confirm that amount eaten divided by label serving matches the displayed multiplier. If food was shared, multiply each per-person value by the number of people to recover the amount-eaten value.

Frequently asked questions

What if the label says 30 g but I ate 45 g?
Enter 30 as the label serving and 45 as the amount eaten. The serving multiplier is 1.5.
Why can the result differ from a nutrition app?
Labels may round values, and brands or prepared weights can differ. Use the values from the package you actually ate.
Can this calculator assess my diet or health?
No. It only scales the label numbers you enter and does not evaluate dietary needs or medical conditions.
