Rent Increase Formula
New rent = Current rent Γ (1 + increase % Γ· 100)
Increase amount = New rent β Current rent
For example, if your current rent is $1,000 and the increase is 5%, the new rent = 1,000 Γ 1.05 = $1,050, an increase of $50. At a 3% increase, the new rent would be $1,030 (a $30 increase). This calculator covers only the monthly rent line item (not a security deposit), and is handy for comparing several proposed increase percentages quickly.
