Overview

UtilMonster provides a utility website and a mobile calculator app that can be used without creating an account. Most calculator and converter inputs are processed in the user's browser or on the user's device. Features that require network lookups may send values needed for the requested operation to external services. We do not ask for personal information for accounts, payments, orders, or contracts. This policy explains data processing that may occur when the website or mobile app is used.

1. Information We May Process

Values entered into tools
Inputs and results for calculators that run on the device in the mobile app are processed on the device and are not sent to UtilMonster servers. Most website calculators and converters are also processed in the browser. Features that need network data, such as domain lookup, send the minimum lookup value needed for the operation described on the screen.

Settings stored by the mobile app
Favorites, theme, and default unit preferences are stored in the app's local storage and are not sent to UtilMonster servers. They may be removed when the app is deleted or according to the operating system's policies.

Information that may be generated by the website
Access logs, IP address, browser and device information, error logs, cookies, and similar technology data may be generated while the website operates.

2. Purposes of Use

Information is used only for purposes such as:
• Providing calculator and tool functionality
• Security, diagnostics, and abuse prevention
• Improving site performance and usability
• Serving ads, frequency capping, and ad measurement
• Responding to lawful requests and protecting rights

3. Retention

UtilMonster does not operate member accounts, payment records, order records, or contract records. Ordinary tool inputs are not retained as user profiles. Server and security logs are kept only for the period reasonably needed for operation, security, and troubleshooting, then deleted or retained in aggregated form. Cookie duration depends on the cookie type, browser settings, and consent choices.

4. Third-Party Services

The UtilMonster website uses Google AdSense for advertising. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies for ad delivery, personalized advertising, ad measurement, and fraud prevention. If Google Analytics is enabled, it may be used to analyze traffic and usage patterns in aggregate.

Mobile app versions that include ads
App versions with ads enabled use Google Mobile Ads. Whether other advertising partners participate depends on the active ad configuration. Depending on consent choices, iOS App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission and device settings, region, and the active ad configuration, Google and any active advertising partners may process device or advertising identifiers, coarse location, advertising data, product interactions, and performance, crash, or diagnostic data. They may use this information to provide personalized ads when allowed or contextual or limited ads otherwise, measure ad performance and interactions, limit frequency, prevent fraud, and diagnose performance.

The app does not send calculator inputs or results to advertising SDKs. The app checks advertising consent status through Google UMP; whether a consent form is available depends on the active configuration and region. On iOS, it also follows ATT authorization and device settings. When Google UMP requires a privacy options entry point, Ad privacy choices appears in the app settings and users can reopen the available form there. When they do, the app clears loaded ads and applies the updated consent signals and loads ads again only if ad requests are allowed. Each advertising partner handles retention and further sharing under its policy and the user's choices.

Optional app analytics and crash reports
The app offers a separate, optional Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics choice in Settings. These services are off until you choose to enable them. When enabled, Google may receive app usage events, app or device identifiers, crash reports, and diagnostic information to help us understand use and fix failures. We do not add calculator inputs, results, or a user ID to these reports. Turning the choice off disables Analytics; the Crashlytics change may take effect after the next app launch. Crash information held on the device while reporting is off may be sent if you later turn reporting on. This choice is separate from advertising consent.

The Currency Converter and Travel Cost Currency Converter tools on the website and in the native mobile app request reference exchange rates directly from ExchangeRate-API at the same fixed USD base. The amount you enter, selected conversion currencies, and, for Travel Cost Currency Converter, travel days and number of travelers are processed locally and are not included in the request. ExchangeRate-API receives your device or browser IP address and normal HTTP connection metadata; browser requests omit cookies and referrer information. Exchange rates, update time, and request-attempt timing are shared through a private on-device browser or app cache and reused locally for conversions, without using our own public raw-rates endpoint. See ExchangeRate-API’s terms.

Selecting a privacy policy, terms, or contact link in the app opens the default web browser; the website-related provisions of this policy then apply.

5. Cookies and Consent Choices

Cookies are small data files stored in the browser. Essential cookies support security and basic functionality. Advertising and analytics cookies are used in regions where consent is required only when valid consent has been given. Users in the EU/EEA, the UK, Switzerland, and other applicable regions can manage advertising and analytics choices through the CMP consent message shown on the site. Users may also delete or block cookies in their browser settings.

6. Ad Personalization and Opt-Out

Users can manage personalized advertising choices in Google Ads Settings. Interest-based advertising opt-out options may also be available through regional industry tools such as aboutads.info. Blocking cookies may limit some advertising functions or saved preferences.

7. Sharing of Personal Information

UtilMonster does not sell lists of members or payment customers. Technical information may be processed by service providers involved in advertising, analytics, hosting, and security operations. Information may also be processed when required by a valid legal request or when necessary to protect the service and users.

8. Your Rights

Depending on applicable law, users may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent, or portability of their personal information. Users in the EU/EEA and the UK may exercise GDPR rights. California residents may exercise CCPA/CPRA rights, including rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale or sharing where applicable. Requests can be submitted through the contact page.

9. Security Measures

UtilMonster applies reasonable technical and administrative safeguards, including HTTPS encrypted communication, access controls, log monitoring, and vulnerability checks. Internet transmission and browser storage cannot be made completely secure, so users should avoid entering sensitive personal information into calculator fields.

10. Children's Privacy

UtilMonster is not an account service directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14. If a higher age threshold applies under local law, that threshold is respected. Please contact us if you believe child information has been collected by mistake.

11. International Users

UtilMonster is an online utility site accessible from multiple countries. Depending on location, users may have rights under GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, or other privacy laws. We respond to requests within the scope required by applicable law.

12. Contact and Changes

Questions about privacy, cookies, or advertising choices can be sent through the contact page. This policy may be updated when the service, advertising configuration, law, or operational practices change. Material changes will be communicated by reasonable means on the site.
