Methodology and official sources
Stay days are deduplicated using the EU rolling 180-day window and inclusive entry/exit-day rule.
Method
Look back 180 days including the as-of date, count each unique day covered by the entered stays with both entry and exit dates included, then subtract the total from 90.
Worked example
Entry on 1 January and exit on 10 January counts as 10 stay days because both dates count.
Limitations
- Long-stay visas or EU residence permits may fall outside this calculation.
- The tool does not decide nationality agreements, visa-sticker limits, or member-state exceptions.
- Confirm with the official EU calculator and the competent immigration authority.
