Frequently asked questions

Does this calculator automatically exclude public holidays?
No. It only distinguishes weekdays (Mon-Fri) from weekends (Sat, Sun) by day of week; holidays like Lunar New Year or Chuseok are not subtracted automatically. To get an accurate workday count, subtract the number of holidays in that period from the weekday total yourself.
Are the start and end dates both included in the count?
Yes, the calculation is inclusive of both the start and end dates. For example, selecting Monday through Friday returns a total of 5 days.
Why are Saturday and Sunday shown separately?
Since Saturdays are typically unpaid days off while Sundays are paid weekly rest days under Korean labor law, showing them separately makes it easier to reference when calculating pay or allowances.
How can I use this calculator to estimate a project timeline?
Enter your start date and expected end date to see the total number of weekdays, giving you a realistic workday-based schedule. Just remember to separately account for holidays and team members' vacation days.
What happens if the start date is later than the end date?
You'll see the error "Start date cannot be later than end date" and the calculation won't proceed. Swap the dates and try again.
