The estimate adds 9.0 KRW/kWh for climate and environmental charges, the +5.0 KRW/kWh fuel adjustment published for every quarter of 2026, 10% VAT and the 2.7% fund levy.
Discounts, credits, late fees, and contract-specific adjustments are excluded. A unit estimate for an apartment is not a management fee or whole-building settlement. Amounts below KRW 2,000 may be carried over to the next bill.

Calculation Scope by Contract Type

The estimate covers Residential Low and High Voltage and General Service (A) I, (A) II, and (B). Residential uses monthly consumption. General Service (A) I uses total consumption and billing demand. General Service (A) II and (B) use the bill's off-peak, mid-load, and peak-load consumption for one season and one rate period, plus billing demand. Progressive thresholds

From September through June, the thresholds are 200 and 400 kWh. In July and August, they are 300 and 450 kWh. Only usage above a threshold moves to the next energy rate; earlier blocks keep their lower rates. In July, August, December, January and February, usage above 1,000 kWh is charged at the low-voltage super-user rate of 736.2 KRW per kWh. Residential High Voltage is an apartment reference estimate. The actual management-fee electricity charge or whole-building settlement may differ. If the monthly pre-tax electricity charge for Residential Low Voltage is below KRW 1,000, KRW 1,000 applies. It does not apply to individual units in high-voltage apartments or one-house multi-family accounts, or to billing periods shorter than one month.

Adjustments, tax and fund

The estimate adds 9.0 KRW per kWh for climate and environmental charges. KEPCO published a +5.0 KRW per kWh fuel adjustment for each quarter of 2026, so the same adjustment applies to every billing month in this model. The Electric Power Industry Fund rate is 2.7% from July 2025. The calculator drops fractions below 1 won from the base, energy, climate and fuel charges separately before adding the electricity subtotal. VAT rounds to the nearest won, the fund drops amounts below 10 won, and the final total drops amounts below 10 won.

The calculator supports the listed Low and High Voltage combinations for General Service (A) I, (A) II, and (B). Select the service type, voltage, rate option, and billing demand from the bill. Why does the billing month matter?
KEPCO uses wider residential progressive-tier thresholds in July and August. Confirm the bill covers one season and one rate period. Discounts, power factor, and meter-date proration are excluded. Options III and IV take effect in June 2026. For June through November 2026 bills only, energy charges are compared as I↔III and II↔IV, and the lower charge in each pair applies.
Which fuel adjustment is included?
The model uses +5.0 KRW per kWh for every month of 2026. KEPCO published that rate in its notices for the first, second, third and fourth quarters.
