The generator picks a random base hue, spaces hues around the selected count, and adds small saturation and lightness variations. A locked swatch keeps the same HSL value on the next run.
Lock a navy background and a yellow accent in a five-color set, then regenerate. Those two remain while the other three change; copy the HSL list into candidate design tokens for testing.
Random output does not guarantee color harmony, accessibility, or print reproduction. Review brand meaning and text contrast separately, and record approved colors as stable tokens.
