QR Code Technology and Standards
QR Code (Quick Response Code) was developed by Denso Wave in Japan in 1994. It can store up to 7,089 numeric or 4,296 alphanumeric characters, significantly more than traditional 1D barcodes. QR Codes are registered as ISO/IEC 18004 international standard, ensuring worldwide compatibility. Built-in error correction allows information to be read even if parts are damaged, with L (7%), M (15%), Q (25%), or H (30%) restoration levels available.
