01

Easy and Fast Fraction Calculations

The fraction calculator performs addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of fractions quickly and accurately. Even complex fraction calculations can be solved with a few clicks, and results are automatically simplified to lowest terms.

02

Automatic Simplification

Results are automatically simplified to lowest terms using the greatest common divisor. For example, 6/8 is automatically simplified to 3/4, so you don't need to simplify manually.

03

Decimal Conversion Support

View fraction results as decimals too. 1/4 shows as 0.25, 1/3 as 0.333..., displaying both fraction and decimal for easier understanding.

04

Step-by-Step Calculation Process

Shows each step of the fraction calculation in detail to aid learning. You can see the common denominator, calculation, and simplification steps, making it useful for understanding fraction operation principles.

05

All Fraction Operations Supported

Supports all fraction operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Useful in various situations such as school homework, recipe calculations, and construction measurements.

06

Intuitive Input Method

Simple method of entering numerator and denominator separately makes it easy for anyone to use. No complex formula input needed - just enter numbers, making it convenient even for those not familiar with mathematics.

常見問題

What does "simplified to lowest terms" mean and why does it happen automatically?
A fraction is in lowest terms when its numerator and denominator share no common factor other than 1. The calculator divides the result by the greatest common divisor, so 6/8, for example, is automatically shown as 3/4.
How are fractions with different denominators added or subtracted?
The calculator finds the least common denominator, converts both fractions to that denominator, then adds or subtracts the numerators before simplifying the result to lowest terms.
How does fraction division actually work?
Dividing by a fraction is the same as multiplying by its reciprocal (flipping the numerator and denominator). For example, 1/2 ÷ 1/3 becomes 1/2 × 3/1.
What happens if I enter 0 as a denominator?
A fraction with a denominator of 0 is mathematically undefined, so it cannot be calculated. Always use a non-zero value for the denominator.
Can I see the result as a decimal too?
Yes, the calculated fraction is shown alongside its decimal equivalent, so repeating decimals like 1/3 (0.333...) are also displayed as an approximate value.
