Cubic Meter Ready-Mix Calculator
Input length, width, and height to calculate required concrete volume and number of ready-mix trucks.
Complete Ready-Mix Concrete Guide
📦 What is Ready-Mix Concrete?
Ready-mix concrete is pre-mixed concrete delivered by truck from a factory. More consistent quality and faster construction than on-site mixing. Volume unit: m³ (Cubic Meter).
🚚 Truck Capacities
• Small: 4.5m³ (narrow streets, residential)
• Medium: 5.0m³ (general construction, most common)
• Large: 6.0m³+ (large civil engineering)
1m³ = 1,000 liters = length×width×height (in meters). Example: 10m × 5m × 0.15m floor = 7.5m³.
⚠️ Waste Percentage
Concrete pouring typically has 5-15% waste:
• Spillage during pouring: 2-3%
• Formwork gaps: 2-5%
• Compaction loss: 1-3%
• Truck residue: 1-2%
Usually apply 10% waste for safety. If 7.5m³ needed, order 8.25m³.
🏗️ Calculation Examples
Example 1 (House Floor): 8m × 6m × 0.1m = 4.8m³. With 10% waste = 5.28m³. Need 2 trucks of 5m³.
Example 2 (Parking): 20m × 10m × 0.15m = 30m³. With 10% waste = 33m³. Need 7 trucks.
💰 Cost Calculation
Prices vary by region, strength, mix (2024 estimate):
• Regular concrete (21MPa): $80-100/m³
• High-strength (24MPa): $90-110/m³
• Extra high-strength (27MPa+): $100-120/m³
Additional costs:
• Pump truck: $100-200/truck
• Night work: 20-30% surcharge
• Weekend/holiday: 10-20% surcharge
